Load Simulation

The foundation of every vertical axis wind turbine development are reliable loads. For this task we are using the well proven aeroelastic software ADCoS.
Active pitch rotor blades can be simulated just as well as fixed rotor blades. Critical eigenfrequencies can be determined right at the beginning of the development process. Fatigue and extreme loads are derived for every component and are used for all further structural designs.

Rotor Blade Design

The design of a vertical axis wind turbine rotor blade differs substantially from a horizontal axis wind turbine. Extreme fatigue loads combined with high centrifugal forces need to be considered. Our experienced engineers find optimal solutions for gaining the most energy from the wind.

Component Design

From top to bottom. We design and analyse structural components for vertical axis wind turbines. Experience in rotor blade, fairing, base frame, hub and tower design make us to the leading expert for vertical axis wind turbines.
